Log Home Packages
By Jim Poniente

There are many types of log home packages on today’s market for you to choose from if you have decided that this is the type of home you want. The list is extensive and can go on and on starting with a manufactured home, which consists of a single family dwelling and have two or more sectional units. With this type of home, it is wise to check with your local council to see what their codes are for their city.

A modular home means more to building your home than the type of home you’re going to build. These homes can be built in a factory from the manufacturer’s plans or you can request a customized plan. You may find that your city has its own codes for this type of dwelling. A pre cut home is designed to specific specifications, where all the cutting is done at the factory and transported to the site that it is going to be built on. You will find that your home or cabin must meet your city codes.

You can have cedar to build your home and this is a good wood for a lot of reasons. It is aromatic to people, but not so likable for insects. Insects will avoid this type of wood at all cost so you never have to worry about termites in your home if you use this product. The home kit itself will include everything you need to build your home such as walls, floors, ceiling, windows and doors but you will find that your foundation, plumbing and electrical is not included.

Log homes provide their owners with a unique comfort that no other home can give. It has a relaxing sense of informality and simplicity. When you use so many logs it gives heating and cooling benefits, plus it also reduces noise at a great rate.
